Besides being our Head Trainer, Cam served as Committee President for several years. He brings lived experience to his current Committee role, as Consumer Advocate.
Cam has battled bipolar depression since his late teens, and relies on exercise to maintain his own mental health.
Cam is a (Tennis Australia) certified Cardio Tennis coach, and an internationally published freelance journalist. He holds a BA (Communications) and is completing a Cert IV in Training & Assessment.
Sarah is a professional risk manager with a love of sport and adventure. She also spent a few years as a personal trainer and has a degree in Physiology. Sarah knows the value exercise makes to her mental health and is passionate about bringing it to others. Her love of adventure has taken her on expeditions down the Nile and Murray Rivers. Sarah joined Mood Active as the organisation Secretary in May 2020.
Committee Member - Mental Health
Lana is a registered psychologist with a background in Sport and Performance Psychology. With over 20 years of experience, Lana has worked as a psychologist for elite sporting groups providing facilitation, training and individual support to organisations including Cricket NSW, Basketball Australia and the Australian Tenpin Bowling team.
She joined Mood Active in December and is involved in strategy setting and providing supervision for our coaches
Dr Susannah Ward is a Specialist Physician of Rehabilitation Medicine working & living in Newcastle NSW. She qualified as a rehabilitation physician in 2018 with the Basmajian Award for best fellowship clinical exam performance. She has over 10 years of experience training and working in public hospitals across
NSW. She now works in private practice and does rehabilitation locum private and public hospital work.
Elizabeth Ann is the Managing Director of boutique management consulting firm Resolve Strategy. She has more than 25 years’ experience working across Australian and NZ Government, both as a Senior Executive and as a consultant. Elizabeth has managed complex programs across many disciplines including Disability and Community Services, Health, Sustainability, Transport and Law Enforcement. Elizabeth specialises in Strategy, Governance, Program Management and Evaluation, Organisational Transformation and Stakeholder Engagement. She holds a Bachelor of Laws, majoring in Business and Economics. Elizabeth has lived experience of depression and anxiety, and is passionate about the difference that exercise makes to mental health.
Gurpreet’s background is in commercial finance and project finance as well as volunteering at Board level with Historic House Association.
Qualifications; BA Commerce, Accounting Finance, Tax, Costing and Reporting.
Qualifications: Bachelor of laws.
Naomi has been active her whole life, participating in physical culture, gymnastics, athletics, yoga, altitude training and weight lifting. She joined Mood Active in 2018 as a Group Fitness Trainer and in 2021 became the Program Manager. Naomi loves the sense of achievement physical activity can bring and has personally used exercise as treatment for anxiety. She wishes to share this coping strategy with others and motivate people to discover just how good they can feel.
Naomi’s background is in Administration and Customer Service in the Not-For-Profit space. She holds a Cert IV in Fitness and Bachelor of Media (PR & Advertising) from UNSW.

Head of Finance
Amanda is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has held various accounting and commercial roles across health and wellbeing organisations. After practicing yoga for 10 years and realising the benefits of the physical and mental practice on her wellbeing, she qualified to be a yoga teacher to share the teachings with others. She hopes to be able to combine her passions with her skills to support purpose driven healthcare organisations make a bigger impact on their communities.
Clara is a self-motivated, pragmatic and detail-driven trilingual HR Business Partner. As a certified Return To Work Coordinator, Clara holds a Cert IV WHS and has experience in facilitating IR/ER issues and interpreting industry awards.
Clara enjoys hiking and yoga, and truly believes exercise can enable people to improve their mental health.
Grant joined Mood Active in May of 2018. He has seen first-hand the benefits of exercise for mental health. Grant likes to live by the motto "healthy body = healthy mind". Grant was moved by the vision of Mood Active and so began volunteering in a finance capacity.
Grant also holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce, Major in Accounting, Western Sydney University and is a Provisional Member of CAANZ (Chartered Accountants New Zealand).
Social Media Consultant
Dorcey has a background in project management, marketing, and operations. She has been studying and researching the mind-body connection for ten years, and the last 3, neuroscience and the structural changes that occur in the brain through positive thinking. She is due to complete her yoga training this year and enjoys weight training. Dorcey knows the impact that exercise can have on the mind, and through Mood Active she wants to help others feel the same.
Volunteer Events Manager
Alexandra Larach is an experienced Events Manager that has worked with associations and charities for the majority of her career. In 2020 Alexandra was acknowledged by the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) as an upcoming leader within the events industry.
Alexandra has a Bachelor of Arts in Media, Communications and Culture and Criminiology and a Masters in Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism from macquarie University. She is passionate about creating exciting and engaging events.
Stephanie is a Marketing Communications Specialist with over 10 years of experience working in government, not-for-profit, aged care, healthcare, consumer goods, and employment services. She is also currently a Consumer representative for Western Sydney Local Health District with the aim of transforming healthcare in the region. Stephanie is all about social change and she loves being involved with for-purpose organisations. Exercise is a part of Stephanie’s routine to improve her wellbeing and she has had lived experience in using exercise to enhance her mood.
Lauren is a Project Manager with many years of experience in the non-profit sector, specialising in fundraising and events. Lauren is passionate about building the capacity of non-profit organisations, and joined Mood Active in 2020 to assist with grant funding applications. Lauren loves yoga and walking (especially when accompanied by a shelter foster dog).
Sinea is a marketing professional with a wealth of marketing and engagement experience in local and international organisations. She originally graduated with an MA (Hons) in International Business Management before beginning her marketing career and is now studying Mental Health Peer Work – a passion of hers.
Sinea’s exercise routine is focussed on muscle stretching and flexibility, although she’s also a lover of the outdoors and enjoys bushwalking and snorkelling.
Team Engagement Officer
Marija is a young professional with tertiary qualification in Human Resources and Social Sciences – Major in Behavioral Disorders. She has experience as a volunteer in mental health and appreciates the value and benefits it brings to the community and individuals.
Marija enjoys bushwalking/jogging and believes that exercise is an indivisible part of good mental health, and our ability to live healthy and fulfilled lives.
Marketing & Community Engagement
Mary has extensive experience in customer engagement with over 25 years in delivering customer service, sales and training. 15 years ago Mary studied meditation and yoga and was able to experience great improvement in her own mental and physical health, so she set up her own yoga classes for men focusing on flexibility and managing stress.
Mary is currently undertaking a diploma in Positive Mental Health Coaching and is on a mission to help motivate people to own and improve their mental health using strategies and daily practices.
Rajiv has a Master’s degree in Computer Applications and comes from an IT background specializing in delivering digital/online initiatives & IT transitions/transformation programs. He brings his experience in Program Management, Governance and views technology as an enabler that supports and contributes to Mood Active’s strategic goals.
Having experienced physical and mental benefits of exercise, Rajiv relates to Mood Active’s vision and wants to spread the message around to guide other people.
Anita has a background in engineering and project management.
SalesForce Configuration Specialist
Srinidhi is a Software Developer and has a Master in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California. Experienced in Salesforce, Srinidhi has achieved several superbadges and a certification.
Srinidhi is passionate about Yoga and believes that good mental health is achievable through fitness practices and physical activity.
